NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The father of Lane Graves, 2, who was dragged to his death by an alligator at a resort in Disney World says there was a second alligator involved in the horrific incident.
According to a report in the Orlando Sentinel, Michael Graves told a police officer who responded to the scene that an alligator attacked him as he was trying to save his son.
The officer told Graves that he needed stitches and antibiotics because he cuts to his body from the gator's teeth.
The officer said that Graves shared "the horror that he experienced" as his son was being pulled into the water. He also described "how another gator attacked him as he fought for his son."
Last month, the medical examiner in Orlando, Florida deemed the cause of death was from drowning and traumatic injuries.
The boy's body was discovered less than 24 hours after he was snatched from the shore of a lake.
The Graves along with their four-year-old daughter were vacationing at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at the time of incident.
