Nearly 50,000 hold vigil for Orlando terror attack victims

- The healing and tributes continued in Orlando, exactly one week since the deadly nightclub shooting. A vigil was held in Downtown Orlando on Sunday to commemorate the lives lost.

Nearly 50,000 people filled Lake Eola Park.

Many of them held flowers, American flags, rainbow flags, candles and posters with the words "Orlando strong" and "love is strong."

The mayor said his city will not be defined by the hate-filled act of a deranged killer.

49 people were killed by gunman Omar Mateen who was killed by Orlando police after a three-hour standoff. An additional 53 people were injured. It was the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman in the U.S., and the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in the U.S.
