Soon after President Barack Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton, GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump weighed in on Twitter with his characteristic brash tone.
Obama just endorsed Crooked Hillary. He wants four more years of Obama—but nobody else does!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2016
That prompted a Twitter burn from Clinton's social media team.
Delete your account. https://t.co/Oa92sncRQY— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) June 9, 2016
That message became her campaign's most-retweeted Tweet ever, according to her team. It spawned the hashtag #DeleteYourAccount which trended Thursday afternoon. But the trolling didn't stop there. Trump and the GOP fired back, alluding to her private email server controversy.
How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up--and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted? https://t.co/gECLNtQizQ— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 9, 2016
And RNC Chairman Reince Priebus piled on.
.@HillaryClinton If anyone knows how to use a delete key, it's you.— Reince Priebus (@Reince) June 9, 2016
