50 Cent apologizes for making fun of autistic man

- Rapper 50 Cent is offering a mea culpa to the autistic man he made fun of in a video that went viral.

50, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is seen teasing Andrew Farrell, 19, at Cincinatti/Northern Kentucky Airport.

Farrell, who has trouble communicating due to his autism and Asperger's Syndrome, had just started his shift as a janitor when 50 follows him while recording the encounter.

“He's high as a motherf—-r," said 50.

The Queens, NY, native, who has been in hot legal water lately after filing for bankruptcy, issued an apology via Page Six.

“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man,” the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, told Page Six in a statement. “It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”

Farrell's family told local media outlets that they would accept a sincere apology from the rapper. There are unconfirmed reports the family plans to sue 50.

The video was deleted from 50's Twitter account.
