Neighbors rally to rescue animals on flooded farm

Rescuers save animals stuck in more than three feet of water after severe storms.

- A group of livestock animals is now safe after a severe thunder storm brought a massive downpour, which resulted in serious flooding Thursday.

Video taken at the Hoffman Family Farm in Hancock, Mississippi shows neighbors pitching in to help save the animals from the rising water.

One-by-one, and sometimes even two-by-two, the rescuers are seen carrying the animals- including pigs, sheep and mules- out of the water and onto dry land.

Locals say between three and four feet flooded the property before the animals were rescued.

According to the owners, it was only the third time in more than 80 years that their farm had flooded.
