- A five-year-old girl in South Texas is credited with saving her mother's life.

Tracy Anderwald reportedly suffered a seizure in a pool Friday. That's when Allison jumped in to save her.

The rescue captured on home surveillance video shows Anderwald unconscious in the pool outside Corpus Christi.

Allison is seen wading in and dragging her mother to the shallow end. She manages to turn her mother over so the woman can breathe.

The girl then runs to get help from other relatives who called 911.

Anderwald, who was discharged Tuesday from a Corpus Christi hospital, says she doesn't know why she had a seizure and lost consciousness.

“I did not know where I was,” she told The Corpus Christi Caller Times. “They did not tell me (about the incident) for a while.”

Anderwald says her daughter learned to swim at 2 years old and she's amazed that the child knew what to do.
