11-year-old leads police on high-speed chase

Police in Minnesota took an 11-year-old boy into custody after he led them on a high speed chase in a cement mixer.  It happened in Dodge Center when a contractor left the keys in the ignition.

The boy jumped in and took off.  Minnesota State Troopers gave chase at speeds reaching 70 miles per hour.  It lasted about an hour and two police cars were sideswiped.

The boy, who was not identified, ended up in a residential neighborhood and was apprehended when he reached a dead end.  Witnesses said the boy appeared to be enjoying the joyride and was smiling and yelling out of the window.
