Report: Anonymous to attack Trump websites on April Fools' Day

- Hackers that say they are part of the Anonymous movement are promising to take on Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump with a massive April Fools' Day prank, according to, a news website run by people claiming to be part of the "Anonymous collective."

The hackers, who claimed responsibility for shutting down Turkey's internet last year, are vowing to attack websites associated with Trump and his businesses, including,, and several others.

A video posted on YouTube featuring a masked person gesturing and a voice over saying: "Your inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States of America, you have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideas."

The website reports that the hackers plan a massive DDoS campaign against Trump's sites on April 1, 2016. But the report also acknowledges that hackers announcing "the exact date and time to the public weeks in advance" is unusual and notes that law enforcement will be watching.
