100-year-old serves as granddaughter's bridesmaid

A bride from England had a very special bridesmaid at her wedding: her 100-year-old grandmother, whose birthday was the same day as the ceremony, according to InsideEdition.com.

"She always wanted to see us getting married, it just made sense," Vita Cresswell, 29, told InsideEdition.com about why she picked her grandmother's birthday for her wedding day. "She's always been so involved in my life. She just deserves it."

Cresswell and her grandmother, Martha Wallbank, got up early on the day of the wedding to get ready. They made sure to color-coordinate with the other bridesmaids, her two sisters and her sisters-in-law-to-be.

Then at the wedding, the officiant made sure to give a shout-out to the birthday girl. Everyone at the wedding then sang "Happy Birthday" to Wallbank, who clapped and sang along.

In addition to having wedding cake, Cresswell made sure to have a birthday cake for her grandmother, too.
