1 dead, several injured in multi-car crash on Cross Bronx
NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Authorities say a person has died and another is critically injured after several vehicles smashed into a previous two-car crash on the westbound Cross Bronx Expressway near Webster Ave.
The first collision occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on Monday in the Claremont section of the borough. The occupants got out of their cars to inspect the damage. Then the second pile-up occurred.
At least six people were taken to hospitals including one who was critically injured, according to police.
