Liz Dahlem

Prior to joining the FOX 5 team, Liz Dahlem worked as a reporter for NBC Connecticut, based in Hartford. During her tenure, she covered Hurricane Irene, Superstorm Sandy, and was the first broadcast reporter at the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown. The NBC Connecticut team won a George Foster Peabody Award for their coverage of the tragedy and Dahlem was one of six staff members to accept the award on behalf of the station.

Dahlem graduated from Fordham University with a degree in Journalism. She started her career at News 12 The Bronx as an anchor and general assignment reporter, where she photographed, edited, and wrote all of her stories.

A Long Island native, Dahlem enjoys spending time with her family and friends. When she is not at work, she loves to snowboard, cook, play the piano, and run. She has completed several half marathons and finished the New York City Marathon in 2013.

Dahlem serves as a board member for the Louis J. Acompora Memorial Foundation, which is committed to improving sports safety for students, with a special focus on placing automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) in all schools.
