NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The hunt is on for a man who attempted to kidnap an 11-year-old girl at a bus stop in East Flatbush, Brooklyn Thursday evening.
The child was standing hear the corner of Rogers Ave. and Albermarle Rd. when the man asked her if she'd like a ride. When she refused, the man got out of an old, rusty gray van and tried to grab her, according to police.
The girl ran back to her school and alerted school safety agents who called 911.
The man, who was carrying a wooden stick, fled in the van on Rogers Ave., said police.
The suspect is described by cops as black, 5'3" -5'4" tall, 40 years old and 140 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a gray baseball cap, a gray sweater and gray pants.
