Atlanta's Delta Flight Museum is giving one boy with a life threatening illness the chance to live out his big dream.

Hunter Powell has endured a lot all before the age of 17. The boy from Virginia was diagnosed with Lyme disease, an life-threatening illness caused by bacteria that can also lead to neurological and cardiac disorders.

He still deals with powerful pains in his stomach and legs and needs to take up to 20 different medications and vitamins daily.

But Hunter is more than just his diagnosis, he wants to take to the skies as a airplane pilot when he grows up.

Thanks to the charity Kids Wish Network and the Delta Flight Museum, Hunter's going to be able to his wish granted, at least for one day. The groups are giving Hunter a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see everything that goes into being a pilot.

During today's trip, Hunter will see what it takes to be a pilot with a ride in a fight simulator, get a tour of Delta's Operation Control Center and Museum Hangers, and see the museum's new 747 experience, which will let him explore the first Boeing 747 ever made.

Hunter is just one of the kids whose wish is granted by the Kids Wish Network, which has been helping young patients struggling with life-threatening illnesses for over 20 years.
