The importance of being a mentally strong parent

- Amy Morin, LCSW, is a psychotherapist and author. Her latest book is called "13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don't Do." She came to Good Day New York to talk about the book and offer some tips for parents.

"In 2013—at one of the lowest points in my life—I wrote a letter to myself called 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do," Morin wrote on her website. "I published it online in hopes it might help someone else. My letter went viral and was read by over 50 million people across the globe. Soon after, I wrote a book, also called 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do."

She is an in-demand speaker and her TEDx Talk has been viewed almost 5 million times.
