Shocking videos of kids being lured

Don't speak to strangers in person AND online. That's the message for children in the videos that have gone viral created by YouTube sensation Coby Persin.

The 21-year-old saw a news report about children meeting strangers online and then meeting them in person. Often, the strangers were predators.

He decided to reach out to parents and ask them if they'd like to see what happens online by taking part in a social experiment.

The parents who agreed were in on the fake luring scenarios involving their children.

In one video, a girl named Jenna, 14,  gets into a van with Persin but her parents are also inside. They briefly attempt to abduct her.

"They didn’t believe that their kids would do this," said Persin.

While the luring videos are intended to educate and inform, psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere says he's concerned about the potential for trust issues among the children for their parents.

"There needs to be follow up from the parents… either kids learn the lesson or the trust with their parents is completely destroyed," said Dr. Gardere.
