NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Actor Robert De Niro says playing Robert Mueller on Saturday Night Live is a "civic duty" for him.
He made the statement in an interview Wednesday with Good Day New York co-host Rosanna Scotto.
"He represents what we need in this country. Strength. He represents right, justice, and we need justice," De Niro says.
The Oscar winning actor is a staunch opponent of President Donald Trump.
On Mueller's report, De Niro said, "He's by the book so he stayed that way but he's leaving it open for it to be contested."
"Something's got to be done," De Niro said.
