K-Pop star Eric Nam at Korean culture convention

- Korean pop music, beauty products and food are only some of the features at the largest convention of Korean culture in the nation running June 24-25 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

But the highlight of the two-day event just might be singing sensation Eric Nam.

The Atlanta, Georgia native now calls South Korea home, but he was back in the States Friday to give Good Day New York viewers a preview of K-Con.

"It's been a crazy ride. I've been there for about four years. I've learned a lot. It's been fun," said Nam.

The pop star has released a new English album, 'Into You,' and he credits his time in Korea for inspiring the music.

"Korea is the first country that gave me a shot at being a singer. It's taking what I learned there and putting it into a tropical house. We call it K-Trop. Check it out," said Nam.

'Into You' is available on music streaming services.
