Good Day does Iowa Caucus

- What's the Iowa Caucus and how does it work? Good Day NY took a stab at it with help (lots of help) from political experts.

"It's basically a neighborhood meeting where you express your preference for a candidate," said political science professor Jeanne Zaino.

It's done in front of people.

"You can do it in your own living room. You can do it basically anywhere," said executive director of the NY State Democratic Party Basil Smikle.

The Republican caucus differs from the Democratic caucus.

"It's much more simpler. You go to your meeting place, hear about your candidate and you cast your ballot," said Zaino.

The Iowa Caucus for the 2016 Democratic nomination for President of the United States takes place next Monday.
