NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - If ticket sales are any indication, 'On Your Feet' isn't going anywhere, anytime soon.
And Gloria and Emilio Estefan- the power couple behind the hit musical- want to thank New York and the Broadway community for embracing their story and that of immigrants everywhere.
The musicians are also the producers of the show.
"Hats off to the entire Broadway community. They work so hard. Eight shows a week. That's a tough one. Ana is an amazing find. She's also the height that people think I am," said Gloria Estefan.
"Thank you. It doesn't get better. We've been doing so well. We want to thank New York for that," said Emilio Estefan.
The musical is meant to inspire people from every walk of life.
"It's a great message. This show is about getting back on your feet when you have a lot of problems in your life. It happens to anybody. We are so happy that we have been so accepted," said Emilio Estefan.
"We were both born in Cuba. I came here when I was two. He came over when he was 16, via Spain. When you can live your dreams, that is incredible," said Gloria Estefan.
