NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson has responded to comments made about her by former fellow Playboy Playmate Holly Madison during an interview with 'Good Day New York. '
“It’s a very awkward situation," said Wilkinson during the FOX 5 NY morning news program.
"She probably wants to distance herself from that situation. It’s embarrassing. I saw things that I’m sure she doesn’t want me to talk about. And now she’s trying to bury it. You either live in denial or you face the truth in your life.”
Madison, speaking with 'People' magazine and in statements made in her book, 'Down the Rabbit Hole,' said she "lived in fear" at the Playboy mansion where she was one of legendary Playboy founder Hugh Hefner's girlfriends along with Wilkinson.
"I didn't like being a clone. That was definitely something that bothered me the whole time. But the Mansion wasn't a place where confidence was built. It was a place where manipulation was used to keep everyone scrambling to keep her spot in the house," said Madison.
"It doesn't make sense at all. Every day she wanted to be there. Even in the end she said, 'I want you two out of there so Hef and I can get married.' She chose to be there," said Wilkinson.
She also referred to Madison as Heffner's "clean up girl" via Twitter.
Both women have moved on with their lives since their days at the mansion where they starred in the reality show, 'The Girls Next Door.'
Madison and Wilkinson are both married and each has two children.
