Beverly Johnson details Cosby encounter

- Throughout her groundbreaking career, supermodel and actress Beverly Johnson has graced the cover of more than 500 magazines and stared in dozens of movies. The stunner describes her rise to the top -and all the low points along the way-  in her new book, 'The Face That Changed It All.'

Among those tough moments was an encounter Johnson says she had with comedian Bill Cosby.

She claims she was among dozens of women who were allegedly drugged by the funny man.

“In 2013, I decided I was finally going to reveal this encounter with Bill Cosby. I gave it to my editors and they said ‘we don’t want that, that’s a legal liability," said Johnson.

Since then, more than 40 women have come forward this year alone accusing Cosby of having drugged and raped them.

"My story had a happy ending because I was not raped," said Johnson. "But the women that were. The woman whose lives have been totally destroyed, I needed to stand there with them. I needed to be with them," said Johnson.

Johnson devoted one chapter in her new book to the frightening incident with Cosby.

"(During) an audition in the afternoon, I took a sip of cappuccino and 1,2, 3 I was drugged. I confronted him. I became irate. I think that’s what saved me from being raped. He didn’t say anything because he was shocked that I called him every name I could think of. I was dragged out by Mr. Cosby and thrown in a taxi. The last thing I remember is saying “did I call Bill Cosby an MF?’ Why was I thinking about him instead of myself?" said Johnson.

The legendary comedian has not publicly addressed the allegations. The assaults were all believed to have occurred outside the statute of limitations.

"About six months ago, I saw him in a small airport. I did not approach him because I did not want to get arrested," said Johnson.
