NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - As we've been learning on 'Good Day New York,' teaching an adult how to drive in New York City is not as easy as you might think.
Along the way, we found out that one of the most interesting people we could meet was also my driving teacher.
Her name is Aurora Straus and she postponed her first year at Harvard so she could continue racing cars. Her father is the owner of the Monticello Raceway.
"I started here when I was 13," said Straus.
The 20-year-old is looking well down the road.
"I love it. But I am more focused on my foundation, 'Girls that Drive.' It is important for me to cultivate what I can as one of the few females in the sport. I hope to be the role model in the racing world that I didn't have," said Straus.
