Husband desperate to find wife's dumped clothing

Michael Farra accidentally placed his wife's dry cleaning among the recycling and his son brought it out to the curb.

- Documentarian Michael Farrah, 48, of Manhattan could end up in the proverbial dog house.

He placed several thousand dollars worth of his wife's dry cleaning in a recycling bag. He then instructed Ben, his nine-year-old son, to bring the garbage out. Three hours later, Farrah realized he had made a mistake.

"I checked all the garbage cans on our block," said Farrah who also put up flyers.

So far, three days later, no luck.

"I was hoping the person who took the bag of clothes, walked by my street every day, saw the sign and decided to call me back," said Farrah.

The signs read: "Wife's Dry Cleaning Went Out With The Recycling. Somebody picked it up other than Sanitation. Please contact 'Dead Husband Walking' 415-260-8496.

While he has received lots of calls, none have been productive.

"A guy in a senior living facility in upstate New York was a little lonely, saw my number in the newspaper and called me," said Farrah.

Farrah's wife is supposedly O.K. with what's happened.

"My wife is great. She will likely replace the clothes. I learned a long time ago not to go shopping for my wife, " said Farah.
