NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Monday is opening night of the play 'MotherStruck' directed by Cynthia Nixon and produced by Rosie O'Donnell.
It’s written by and starring Jamaican spoken word poet Stacey Ann Chin.
"It’s about her quest –as she puts it-- as an aging single lesbian to become a mother after not having being parented about her biological parents," said Nixon. "It’s her story about how when she hit 35 wanted to become a mom and didn't want to miss the chance."
'MotherStruck' runs at the Culture Project, 49 Bleecker St.
