NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Fugees founder, actor and activist Pras Michel is behind the new documentary, 'Sweet Micky For President,' The Haiti native stars as the musician-turned-president Michel Martelly.
Michel was a supporter of Martelly when he embarked on his presidential run and surprising victory.
"I wanted to help and the political climate down there was so harsh. I figured let's try this and the people wanted it," said Michel.
The documentary tells the story of Michel's rise to power. Sean Penn and Ben Stiller make cameos in the film.
'Sweet Micky For President' opens at Cinema Village on Nov. 20 and, nationwide, in January.
