Shepherd 'in a good place' despite surrogacy battle

Comedian and TV host Sherri Shepherd visited GDNY on Thursday.

- Despite being in the midst of an ugly legal battle over child support for a baby born via surrogate, The View host Sherri Shepherd is in good spirits. "Everything is good," Shepherd told Good Day New York.

Just this week, Shepherd's attorney was in a Pennsylvania courtroom trying to convince a judge to overturn a ruling requiring her to pay child support to the boy's father, Shepherd's ex-husband, Lamar Sally.

The couple had found a surrogate to carry the child, but divorced in 2012 before the baby's birth. The boy-- who has a blood condition-- is cared for by Sally.

"I am in a very good space. I’m working. Selling my wigs," said Shepherd.

One of the judges reportedly told Shepherd's attorney that the case may end up going to the Supreme Court, reported the Daily Mail.
