Summer cocktails from the garden

- Gretchen Connelie shares her favorite summer cocktail recipes.

GRAPEFRUIT BASIL MARTINI
Ingredients List
2.5 oz. Grey Goose
1.25oz. Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
1 fresh Whole Basil Leaf
.75oz. Simple Syrup
Instructions:
Muddle basil with simple syrup, add remaining ingredients + ice, shake well until chilled, strain into glass.
Glass: Martini
Ice: None
Garnish: Basil leaf

 

CUCUMBER SMASH
Ingredients List
1.75 oz. Hendrick’s Gin
.75oz. St-Germain Elderflower
.5oz. Lime Juice
.5oz. Simple Syrup
4 ¾” Cucumber Cubes
.5oz. Club Soda
Instructions:
Muddle cucumber with lime juice. Add Gin, Elderflower, Simple Syrup and Ice. Mix well and strain over fresh ice. Top with soda
Glass: Double Rocks
Ice: Cube
Garnish: 2 Cucumber Wheels

EASY DOES IT
Ingredients List
2 oz. Fresh Watermelon Juice
2.5oz. Titos Vodka
.5oz. Honey
.5oz. Orange Juice
1oz. Grapefruit Soda
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients but soda + ice, shake well until chilled, strain into glass. Top with grapefruit soda
Glass: Collins
Ice: Cube
Garnish: Watermelon Cubes

RASPERRIES & RYE
Ingredients List
2 oz. Old Overholt Rye
1oz. Simple Syrup
1.5oz. Orange Juice
.25oz. Lime Juice
6 Fresh Raspberries
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
Instructions:
Muddle raspberries with bitters. Add remaining ingredients + ice. Shake well. Loosely strain
Glass: Collins
Ice: Cube
Garnish: Orange Peel

450 INDIGO
Ingredients List
1.75 oz. Grey Goose
.75oz. Giffard Crème de Violette
.25oz. St-Germain Elderflower
.25oz. Lemon Juice
.25oz. Simple Syrup
Absinth Rinse
10 Blueberries
Instructions:
Rinse glass with absinthe. Gently muddle blueberries with lemon juice. Add remaining ingredients + ice. Mix well, strain over fresh ice.
Glass: Coupe
Ice: None
Garnish: 3 Blueberries
