NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Digital currency takes center stage in the new Crackle series, 'StartUp.' For fans of the hit TV series, 'O.C.' and 'Gilmore Girls,' star Adam Brody is a blast from the past.
The story takes place in Miami, Florida where a cross-section of local characters are funding 'GenCoin' with laundered drug money.
"I play a white collar banker from upscale Brickell," said Brody.
All episodes are available on Crackle, Sony's streaming service, for free.
There's only one catch: Crackle plays commercials and, no, you cannot fast forward through them.
For Brody, hitting the small screen is a welcome change of pace.
"What’s great about being back on a show is that movies are over too fast. You hardly get a chance to get attached to the character and dig in," said Brody.
