'Ghostbusters' director: 'we finally got our day in court'

Director Paul Feig previews his highly anticipated new remake of 'Ghostbusters.'

- Director Paul Feig put Good Day New York co-hosts Rosanna Scotto and Greg Kelly in his new movie, the remake of 'Ghostbusters.'

The cameos play right into the homage the movie makes to New York City.

"Thank you so much, my stars," said Feig.

The casting of an all-female ensemble has been criticized for not staying true to the original 1984 film which starred an all-male ensemble.

"What's so fun about this movie is these four amazing women in these roles make it their own and entertain people. The movie was made to entertain people," said Feig.

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon steal the show.

"What a ridiculous thing we had to go through. We finally got our day in court. You will realize the only reason we made this movie is for you to have summer movie fun. That was the only agenda we ever had," said Feig.

Previews begin July 14.

"And the spin-off movie we are going to start is the movie about you guys. How are you with a proton?" said Feig.
