NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - Comedian Damon Wayans returns to New York City for a Labor Day weekend run at Carolines on Broadway. “It’s an awesome run. It’s always packed. It’s always ready to go," said Wayans. But despite his superstar status as a comedian and actor, even Wayans deals with tough audiences. "First thing in comedy is know your audience.I was in Houston at Sam State and I followed my son. He killed it. I thought I would walk up ther and do 'Homey the Clown,' and they were not feeling it," said Wayans.
Damon Wayans Jr. stars in the hit FOX series, 'Girls.'
"I'm super proud of him. He's talking about me in his stand up. He is always afraid he’s going to hurt my feelings but I say no, I made a living talking about you. It's your time. You have the mic. I love it," said Wayans.
