Kelly: Trump had fascinating response to emotionally wounded question

Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump go on-on-one on FOX 5 Tuesday at 8 p.m.

- Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for President of the United States, goes one-on-one with journalist Megyn Kelly in a highly anticipated interview airing Tuesday at 8 p.m. on FOX 5 NY.

"There was definitely tension," said Kelly during 'Good Day New York.'

Trump had taunted Kelly through social media for several months following the first GOP debate earlier this year after Kelly had asked Trump about unflattering comments he made about women.

Trump has said he was attacked by Kelly and was simply defending himself.

"When we sat down for the interview, it had been a long nine months. I really wanted it to be cordial and I think he did, too. We had a nice meeting," said Kelly.

While Kelly says she touched upon their relationship as it has played out in the public sphere, it was something entirely different that Trump said which fascinated the seasoned reporter.

"One of the most compelling moments of the interview, and this is the first time I've talked about this with anyone, I asked him if anyone had every emotionally wounded him. I've watched it ten times. It is so telling about him," said Kelly.
