Emergency go bag essentials

With August being the start of hurricane season, now is the time to put together an emergency go bag.

Here's what you should know and pack in your emergency bag:

Every household member should assemble a Go Bag - a collection of

container (insurance cards, birth certificates, deeds, photo IDs, etc.)

Extra sets of car and house keys

Copies of credit and ATM cards and cash

Bottled water and nonperishable food like energy or granola bars

List of the medications and dosages household members take, or copies

of all your prescription slips with doctors' names and phone numbers
