NEW YORK (FOX 5 NY) - The Ford Mustang started the "Pony Car" craze when it was introduced at the 1964 World's Fair in Queens.
The symbol of the American open road has been in continuous production since LBJ was in the White House.
The ten millionth edition made an appearance on GOOD DAY NEW YORK ahead of the 2019 New York International Auto Show.
The 5.0 Liter V8 is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and generates 460 horsepower.
It will make it from 0-60 in under 4 seconds!
While new Mustangs start at $26,395, this anniversary edition has a sticker price of $59,000.
Ford says the Mustang is the world's most successful sports car.
The 10-millionth Mustang sports a one-of-a-kind trim to mark the anniversary of the 1964 introduction: Polo White exterior paint, black roof and a black leather interior--the same as the 1964 model.
