Three's Company film planned

A Three's Company movie is in the works according to the Hollywood Reporter.

New Line is reportedly in negotiations to pick up the rights to the 1970s TV sitcom about 3 roommates.  Two are women and the third pretends to be a gay man so that the nosey landlord will allow him to stay.

The original concept proved to be popular for eight seasons on ABC.  New Line reportedly will set the movie in the 1970s but it is unclear if anything will be updated to better suit 2016 audiences.

The late John Ritter won an Emmy for his role of Jack Tripper.  Suzanne Somers became a sex symbol playing a dumb blonde in the early seasons of the show.  The third roomate was played by Joyce DeWitt.
