Jennifer Garner: Ben Affleck is 'love of my life'

FOX 5 NEWS - Jennifer Garner is opening up about her split from Ben Affleck, whom she calls the "love of my life," and says she doesn't need anyone to hate him.

Garner and Affleck split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. They have three children. In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Garner tries to put to rest the embarrassing rumor that their children's nanny broke them up.

"We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce," Garner says in the interview. "She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It's not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives."

Garner says that she remains friends with Affleck because their children love him "so purely and wholly."

"I don't hate him," she says. "Certainly we don't have to beat the guy up."
