That old pair of beat-up shoes sitting in the back of your closet may become the latest fashion trend!

Nordstrom is now selling a pair of sneakers with scuff marks and tape for more than $500.

But the shoes, which are made by Golden Goose, are being criticized on social media for “making light of poverty.”

Nordstrom has sold clothes that have a distressed look in the past. Last year, the company sold a pair of jeans featuring fake mud for more than $400.
